Proven, Science-Based Approach to Losing Weight
As a leading provider of lifestyle and wellness programs, we understand the struggles facing many Canadians in their quest for optimal health.
Using the latest medical research and technology, Trillium provides an evidence based program that focuses on long term weight management, rather than just weight loss.
Our program was designed and consistently improved after careful feedback within our population of individuals that lost weight.
We don't direct you towards an ideal weight, nor do we use simple measurements like body fat percentages to tell us or you what you need to weigh. Rather, our focus is about your best weight, which is whatever weight you can healthily attain living the fullest life you can honestly and realistically enjoy.
While under-eating, fad diets and over-exercising certainly can lead to short term results, we believe that in order to be truly successful, you need to consume real food that complements your body's unique metabolism and genetic composition so you can enjoy the life you're living while you're losing the weight, or else you're never going to keep it off.
There comes a point when you just can't happily eat less and exercise more.
Utilizing a team of trained professionals, the latest medical technology and teaching tools, we guide you using the most effective methods of weight management.
Our program is constantly improving as new testing and research provides more and more insight into the struggles of this complex disease. What remains constant at Trillium is that for each person, we provide individual and scientifically derived solutions to help you discover your best weight.
Why Our Program Will Work for You
We make it easy and convenient for you to begin your weight loss journey.
We start right away by collecting your saliva sample for the purpose of analyzing your DNA, followed by a health assessment where we'll gather comprehensive information about you using the latest testing and technological advances.
We then translate your test results into real life solutions to help you establish healthy eating habits that can last a lifetime.
We’ll create a personalized nutrition report for you that includes meal plan structures that are feasible, sensible and satisfying.
Your nutrition report will set out clear recommendations and restrictions to help you achieve optimal results.
In addition to learning the importance of portion control and meal timing, you'll also understand which foods you need to select for a well-balanced diet that also gives you energy and vitality.

Trillium's Metabolic rate test (RMR) is an essential tool for anyone that wants to lose weight, especially because the test is presented in the context of our comprehensive weight management program.
The resting metabolic rate test is a 10-minute non-invasive assessment that uses diagnostic testing equipment to determine how many calories your body burns while at rest.
The results of this test are fundamental for estimating how many calories you should be eating and contribute to managing your weight.
Your test results are reviewed by your Dietitian and are used to help customize your nutrition plan based on your energy requirements.
Testing is completed by one of our qualified Health Care at any of our MetaTest locations.
Note: Metabolic tests are included in your program and available at the clinic location nearest you. Attend for a metabolic test when instructed by your Dietitian.

Aortic Stiffness Test
An Aortic Stiffness test is an indicator of how your health is improving on the inside of your body while you are losing weight.
Weight loss is more than just a number on the scale. As you lose weight, it's also important to recognize how your internal organs are responding to your improved health.
Using a finger-tip pulse meter and a unique, patented algorithm developed by Dr Jess Goodman, a physician from Toronto, An Aortic Stiffness test can tell you how old you are on the inside. As you lose weight, your inside age will improve, along with your health.
Tests are unobtrusive and take just a few minutes.
Aortic Pulse Wave Velocity (AoPWV) is proven to be a marker of heart health, brain health, and risk of death from all causes.
